So this is fun. Was looking around for a privacy policy for The Gamers Forum and ended up creating a page on here!
So I run the http://gamersforum.org a site dedicated to Gaming in all its variations.
I have been involved with web design for a while and have always enjoyed Gaming!
I took over this site last week and thought that it would be useful to find a place with some of my notes and some of the changes that have been made.
When I bought the forum it was running on VBulletin, a fairly expensive forum software and as a fan of open source, one of the first things I did was change it to MyBulletin.
The second thing we had to do was to recreate a new look. I launched a logo competition and got one awesome entry but haven't yet received any more… The competition ends on the 20th September!
The existing community was not very active so one of the things I did was sent out an email to everyone announcing the changes.
We then introduced something called Gamer Forum Cash (GF Cash) which is to reward people for posting
As the site grows we will be having competitions and launching a shop where you can buy stuff for posting.
Anyway Watch this space for various Milestones as we hit them.
